LA MAGA is a Peruvian singer based in Europe, known for her powerful and warm voice and her deep connection to Afro-Peruvian and Latin American musical traditions. Her artistic journey began in Lima, where her early musical explorations took shape. Years later, living in Germany led her to reconnect deeply with her Latin American roots, transforming distance and migration into a driving force for artistic expression and cultural dialogue.
Her repertoire is rooted in Afro-Peruvian rhythms — with the landó as a central element — alongside Peruvian Creole music and selected Latin American genres such as cumbia. Through original compositions and carefully chosen traditional songs, La Maga addresses themes of memory, migration, identity and community.
Over the past 15 years, she has developed a solid live performance trajectory in Germany, performing at festivals and venues such as the Jazz & World Music Festival Düsseldorf, Folklorum Festival Einsiedel and Sommerfestival Jena, as well as numerous cultural festivals in Thuringia.
On stage, La Maga offers more than a concert: she creates a shared experience of celebration, emotion and connection. Singing in Spanish in Europe, her music becomes a cultural bridge — inviting diverse audiences to meet, listen and feel part of a collective story.
