La Maga’s artistic journey began in Lima and has continued to grow in Germany, where she has been active on the live music scene for over 15 years.
Rooted in Afro-Peruvian and Latin American traditions, her music blends rhythm, voice and storytelling, shaped by migration, memory and cultural exchange. From Europe, La Maga creates spaces of connection through live performance, where music becomes a bridge between origins and present experience.
Live experience & trajectory
La Maga has been performing live in Germany for over 15 years, developing a strong connection with diverse audiences through festivals, cultural venues and open-air events.
Her live experience includes appearances at Jazz & World Music Festival Düsseldorf, Folklorum Festival Einsiedel, Sommerfestival Jena, Interkulturelle Woche Erfurt, as well as numerous cultural and city festivals across Thuringia.
She has also performed in cities such as Berlin, Weimar, Halle, Regensburg and Erlangen, bringing Afro-Peruvian and Latin American music to different cultural contexts across the country.
On stage, La Maga’s concerts are marked by rhythmic intensity, emotional closeness and a strong sense of collective experience.
The band
La Maga is accompanied by a solid six-piece band, formed by experienced musicians deeply connected to Afro-Peruvian and Latin American traditions. Together, they create a rich, dynamic live sound that honors tradition while allowing space for personal expression and contemporary textures.
